6 Xbox 360 Limited Edition Consoles We Must Enjoy

Personally, I’m a bit tired of PlayStation getting all the attention because it doesn’t deserve it as the Xbox 360 is probably the best and the most stable product Microsoft has ever released. Yeah, nobody knows how they did it, but as long as Xbox is here, we’re going to be happy. In order to compete against Sony, Microsoft decided to release a few Special Edition overpriced(not all of them) consoles that would attract new clients or old fans. Here 6 of the best Xbox 360 Special Edition consoles:

Simpsons Special Edition

Simpsons Xbox 360 Special Edition

This Xbox Special Edition bundle was specially designed for “The Simpsons Movie” fans and Microsoft only produced 100 of them. If you are one of the lucky fans who got their hands on the Simpsons Xbox 360 Pro 20GB then you should probably be proud of it. At that time I didn’t understand why Microsoft has chosen the 20GB Xbox 360 Pro over the Elite bundle, but it wouldn’t be the first time I don’t understand the company’s decisions. Just be careful not to mistake it with a banana or something.

Halo 3 Special Edition

Halo 3 Xbox 360 Special Edition

The Halo 3 Console is probably the best Special Edition bundle as we all know the madness around the Halo 3 video game. That was something unbelievable and Microsoft couldn’t even handle pre-orders even if the price was $400 at that time. Fans from all over the world got a Xbox 360 20GB Hard Drive, Xbox 360 Headset, Xbox 360 Wireless Controller, with the bundle and most of them are probably enjoying right now! Unlike Simpsons Special Edition, the Halo 3 Xbox 360 Special Edition console is still available for a price of about $300, but it could cost you more depending on the retailer.

GTA IV Special Edition

GTA IV Xbox 360 Special Edition

This Special Edition of Xbox 360 was produced in 500 units, but none of them was available for the open public. Another weird decision from Microsoft, however, the GTA IV Xbox 360 Special Edition console popped-up on various re-seller websites and gamers paid big money to get one of these. The Xbox 360 bundle came with a briefcase (literally) loaded with peripherals, the great thing about this edition was that it consisted of an Elite system. Unfortunately, I didn’t find any bundles available for sale now so I’m guessing that the users are pretty satisfied with it so we have to congratulate them for their choice.

Resident Evil 5 Special Edition

Red Resident Evil 5 Xbox 360 Special Edition

The red Resident Evil 5 Xbox 360 is my personal favorite Special Edition as I’m a big fan of Resident Evil and besides that, it’s the newest bundle as it’s going to be released today in Europe. For the moment the US market will have to wait a few more weeks to get the Resident Evil 5 Xbox 360 along with 120GB HDD, Super Street Fighter II Turbo HD Remix, and (you guessed) the Resident Evil 5 video game.  This Special Edition of  Xbox will be available for €299 in Europe and for $399 in the US.

Black Special Edition

Black Xbox 360 Special Edition

Tired of all that white? Well, Microsoft also released a Black Limited Edition of the Xbox 360, and it comes many Elite or Premium versions. You don’t have to be a genius to tell that I prefer the Elite versions, but the sad thing is that they cost too much. My pockets are “saddened” by this recession, and I can’t get myself a Black Xbox 360 Special Edition which features an HDMI port, HDMI cable, a black wireless controller and black Xbox LIVE headset, and 120GB hard drive. This Black Xbox 360 Limited Edition bundle is available now for a price of $400. Kinda expensive, ain’t it?

300 Special Edition

300 Xbox 360 Special Edition

OK I have to say that I rather hate this Xbox 360 Special Edition. Why? Because there are only 300 units and because they were given away during a special “300″ movie screen at Comic-con. Yeah, it sucks! The 300 Xbox 360 was an Elite version of the console and I think many people got rich by selling it therefore they aren’t worthy Xbox fans! If you are a proud possesor of the 300 Xbox 360 Special Edition, I would be very happy to know how it works!
