Press Start + R, type “taskmgr” and press enter. Then find Windows Police Pro.exe, select it and press “End Process”.
Removing Windows Police Pro Registry entries
Press Start + R, type “regedit” and press enter. Find the “HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Windows Police Pro
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Uninstall\Windows Police Pro” key and delete it. Be careful not to delete other keys.
Removing Windows Police Pro Files
Find and delete the following files:
C:\Program Files\Windows Police Pro\

Guides like this don’t fully realize that the Police Pro Virus DISABLES you from using ANY exe file. You can’t just access the regedit or run an anti-virus/malware program to fix your problem. You need to take some manual action. I got this virus and it was a @#$@#. I typed out my troubleshooting in a blog-style post and eventually I fixed the problem. Windows Police Pro is a very destructive virus that will render your system useless in minutes. It will shut down your firewall, kill your antivirus and hijack windows so that you cannot execute anything. This makes it impossible to run regedit and any auto removal app. If you reboot, Windows will not run. My observation is that it used a vulnerability in Adobe Reader to get into my system without any action on my side.
